Google Gemma 3 will become the basis of the Ukrainian LLM: what will change

A new important step has been made in the development of artificial intelligence in Ukraine. Kyivstar, in collaboration with Google, has chosen the Gemma 3 model as the foundation for training the Ukrainian LLM. This choice was made with the consideration of optimal performance and resource balance, availability of support for the Ukrainian language, capability to work with images, and successful use for Ukrainian-language models.

Training this model is crucial for the further development of artificial intelligence in the country, as it will serve as the foundation for quality and safe government and business AI solutions that are in demand in the modern world.
