Ukrenergo calls to limit electricity usage from 16:00

Ukraine is observing an increase in electricity consumption, which requires careful usage from 16:00 to 22:00. Citing 'Ukrenergo', this was reported by the publication 'Glavcom'.

«Today, July 9, at 9:30, electricity consumption exceeded last week's level by 3.1%. The reason is the hot weather across the country, which stimulates the use of air conditioners. There is also high cloudiness in certain areas, which reduces the efficiency of solar power plants,» the announcement says.

After mass missile and drone attacks from Russia, the Ukrainian energy system is gradually recovering. Work to eliminate the consequences of accidents at energy facilities is alternating.

Call for conservation

«From 16:00 to 22:00 today, it is necessary to limit electricity usage. Please refrain from using high-power equipment and avoid simultaneous use of multiple electrical appliances,» specialists in energy urge.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Energy, the state of the energy system situation is currently better than last year. Attacks on the power supply system this year have been less extensive than before. Energy workers are ready for increased load in summer with a reserve.

The increase in electricity consumption in Ukraine is currently related to hot weather and the use of air conditioners, as well as poor efficiency of solar power plants due to cloudiness in certain regions of the country. Refraining from using electrical appliances during peak periods will help conserve energy and avoid excessive load on the system. Energy workers urge citizens to be cautious and reasonable in electricity consumption to prevent possible accidents or outages.
