According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued its weather forecast for Tuesday, February 3rd. A frosty, mostly dry day is expected across Ukraine, with only light snow anticipated overnight in the Carpathian and Zakarpattia regions. Dangerously low temperatures are forecast, with icy conditions likely in some areas. This cold snap is part of a broader winter pattern affecting Eastern Europe.

Expected Temperatures

  • Overnight lows will plummet to between -22°C and -27°C.
  • Daytime highs will only reach -10°C to -15°C.
  • In the south, southeast, and Carpathians, expect overnight lows of -14°C to -19°C and daytime highs of -6°C to -11°C.
  • In Crimea, temperatures will drop to -8°C to -13°C overnight and reach -4°C to -9°C during the day.
  • Zakarpattia will see milder conditions, with overnight lows of -3°C to -8°C and daytime highs slightly above freezing at 0°C to +5°C.

Winds will be variable, blowing at 3 to 8 meters per second.

In the Kyiv region, overnight temperatures will be -22°C to -27°C, with daytime highs of -10°C to -15°C. The capital itself will see lows of -22°C to -24°C and highs of -13°C to -15°C. Meteorologists warn that icy patches are likely to form on roads in places.
