According to glavcom.ua: Ukrzaliznytsia is in a difficult situation due to high demand for tickets on summer routes. There are 5 to 8 passengers per train seat, which has led to a ticket shortage, especially due to outdated rolling stock.
In the last week, over 637,800 people were transported, but the problem remains relevant. To alleviate the situation, stable funding from budgets is needed for the purchase of new equipment and maintenance of existing trains.
The head of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' emphasized the importance of automatic ticket booking, which allows for a quick response to demand and saves passengers' time.
Thus, the company plans to improve its services and capabilities provided it receives additional funds for transportation modernization to ensure comfort and safety for passengers.
