Ukrzaliznytsia Changes Rules for Transporting Dogs: What Is Now Allowed

The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has decided to improve the rules for transporting pets. Now large dogs can participate in train journeys in all types of carriages, but they must have a ticket, muzzle, leash, and veterinary document. In the compartment, sleeping car of the 'Lux' class or in international 'ric' carriages, it is necessary to purchase all the required places for the animals. The high-speed train Intercity+ requires buying all seats in one row.

Small animals must be transported in special carriers, but it is not necessary to buy the entire row of seats. However, passengers traveling with guide dogs, service dogs, or military personnel can transport their pets for free. The fee for transporting live animals in passenger cars is charged separately.
