Ukrzaliznytsia explained why it is currently difficult to buy tickets

Recently, Ukrainians have been facing problems when buying train tickets. The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' explained that this happened due to the increase in demand for popular routes.

According to data, every year Ukrainians experience difficulties in purchasing tickets. For example, this time the demand for the Kyiv – Yaremche route increased by 460%, and Kyiv – Bukovel by 406% compared to other months.

Recommendations for buying tickets

Railway workers recommend buying tickets online, as 90% of sales are made this way.

Ukrainians were also urged to use the 'Avtovikup' service, which automatically purchases tickets from returns. Out of 403 thousand applications, 229 thousand were successful.

In addition, between Kyiv and Chernihiv, an additional train will run in July and August. The train from Kyiv will depart at 9:11 and arrive in Chernihiv at 11:34. In the opposite direction, the departure from Chernihiv is at 13:50, and the arrival in Kyiv is at 16:15. Stops: Vidubichi, Darnytsia, Nizhyn, named after Borys Olijnyk (smt Kulykivka).

It was also reported that the company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' made changes to the rules for transporting animals in passenger train cars after consultations with animal rights activists and specialists from the Ministry of Development.

The popular routes for Ukrainians have become even more difficult to book due to increased demand, leading to a shortage of tickets. Recommendations from 'Ukrzaliznytsia' include buying tickets online and using the 'Avtovikup' service. Additionally, the running of an extra train between Kyiv and Chernihiv in the summer months has been ordered, and changes have been made to the rules for transporting animals on trains.
