According to Главком: Ukrainian Railways has resumed train operations along a damaged section in the Kyiv region, following the completion of urgent repair work. Commuter and long-distance trains are now running on the restored route, although some services continue to experience schedule delays. Passengers on the most severely delayed trains will receive complimentary iron rations.

Around twenty specialized teams-including power engineers, communications specialists, and track workers-were deployed for the restoration effort. The temporary traffic restrictions had been imposed by the State Emergency Service after a massive Russian attack on the night of July 6, which killed 13 people in Kyiv and 5 in the surrounding region. This assault caused significant damage to critical transport links, disrupting daily life for thousands.

'In an extremely tight timeframe, railway workers-who began repairs immediately after receiving clearance from SES specialists-rebuilt the damaged infrastructure in the Kyiv region and restored train service,' stated the Ukrainian Railways press office.

However, a number of trains are still running behind schedule. 'We are doing everything possible to return to the normal timetable as quickly as possible,' the railway company added.
