Ukrzaliznytsia has made changes to the identity verification procedure when purchasing tickets through its application. Now this check is mandatory only when buying tickets for three popular routes, and not for all, as was originally planned. This decision was made after passenger appeals to avoid inconvenience and speculation.
“We listened to passengers and changed the number of flights for which the verification via Diia.Signature will be introduced in test mode from August 1. This is necessary to combat ticket speculation and abuses,” the Ukrzaliznytsia explained.
Also, at several ticket offices on certain routes, passengers will be able to purchase tickets without the need for verification. Restrictions on ticket sales through the 'Diia.Signature' service sparked objections from deputies who called for this decision to be revoked. Ukrzaliznytsia explained such actions as a fight against speculation and unscrupulous passengers who use incorrect data.
