The government prepares new benefits and loans for the population in frontline regions
The government of Ukraine is discussing the introduction of new benefits and support programs for frontline regions. This includes accessible lending, tax relief, business compensation, and the expansion of grant programs for entrepreneurs and farmers. This was reported by Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The government wants to introduce new benefits for frontline territories
According to Yulia Svyrydenko, the governmental team held a meeting with members of parliament regarding the support of the economy and social sphere in frontline communities.
Currently, 86% of communities affected by the war are included in the list of areas.
The Cabinet of Ministers notes that the war has led to:

a decrease in employment;

a decline in investments;
-
a reduction in local budget revenues.
That is why the government wants to create conditions for people and businesses to remain working in their communities.
New programs are being prepared for businesses in frontline regions
During the meeting, the possibility of launching was discussed:

additional accessible lending programs;
-
tax benefits;
-
a special regime for access to state and municipal property.
Special emphasis was placed on preserving jobs and supporting the real sector of the economy.
The government also reminded about the existing "Made in Ukraine" programs for frontline territories.
What assistance can entrepreneurs already receive
For businesses and farmers in frontline areas, special state support conditions are already in effect.
In particular:

"Own Business" grants have been increased to 500 thousand hryvnias;

grants for production equipment reach 8 million UAH;
-
grants for restoration - up to 16 million UAH;
-
farmers will be compensated up to 40% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery;
-
enterprises will be able to compensate part of salaries and SSC during restoration.
There is also a military risk insurance program in frontline areas that covers up to 30 million UAH in losses from the destruction of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
The government is preparing compensations for affected businesses
Separately, during the meeting, compensations for destroyed and damaged property of enterprises were discussed.
According to Yulia Svyrydenko, 90 applications from businesses have already been approved for a total of 1.5 billion hryvnias.
The first payments to enterprises are expected soon.
The deputies also raised the issue of supporting education in frontline regions and granting enterprises the status of critically important for maintaining economic activity.
For residents of frontline areas, this means that the authorities are trying to preserve jobs, businesses, and basic economic activity even in the regions most affected by the war.
