Government Allocates 67 Billion Hryvnias to Strengthen Regional Resilience Ahead of Heating Season

“there is still time before the heating season begins, and all services, agencies, and local governments must unite efforts and expedite work to ensure timely completion of all planned measures.”

The main priorities outlined during the meeting include:

• enhanced monitoring of each individual facility;
• strict adherence to project deadlines;
• significant expansion of backup power sources for critical infrastructure;
• building fuel reserves for essential infrastructure and social services.

Another critical topic was the restoration of Ukrzaliznytsia's locomotive fleet damaged by Russian strikes. The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to secure the necessary funding for this effort.

Additionally, the Ministry of Infrastructure was directed to develop an insurance framework for workers and equipment involved in constructing protective installations for energy facilities in frontline areas. Accelerating the completion of all designated tasks is vital to guarantee the safety and functionality of critical infrastructure ahead of the heating season.
