New Funding Boost for the єВідновлення Initiative

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: The Ukrainian government has committed an extra 2 billion hryvnias to its єВідновлення program, which provides compensation for damaged homes. This fresh injection of funds will extend support to an additional 20,000 families affected by enemy strikes. As a key part of Ukraine’s broader recovery strategy, the program addresses the immense housing crisis caused by ongoing Russian aggression, which has damaged over 3 million households-roughly 14% of the nation’s entire housing stock.

How the Funds Will Be Distributed

Of the allocated 2 billion hryvnias:

  • 1.3 billion UAH is earmarked for Category A repairs, covering minor housing damage (up to 200,000 UAH per claim).
  • 0.7 billion UAH is designated for Category B repairs, which involve more extensive restoration work (up to 350,000 UAH for apartments and up to 500,000 UAH for houses).

To date, nearly 139,000 families have already received compensation through this program, with total payouts reaching 13.5 billion UAH. More than 212,000 applications for assistance have been submitted so far.

'Due to enemy attacks and the ongoing Russian aggression, the destruction of the housing sector, unfortunately, continues unabated. A total of over 3 million households have been damaged-this is about 14% of the country’s entire housing stock. The єВідновлення program is one of the most effective tools for supporting people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed. We are constantly working to ensure stable funding for the program from various sources. It is crucial that every family affected by shelling has access to timely and targeted state assistance.' This additional allocation for the єВідновлення program underscores the Ukrainian government’s commitment to aiding civilians impacted by the war. The initiative has become a cornerstone of social policy, enabling people to receive the financial help they need to repair their homes. Given the scale of destruction, continued funding for such programs remains critical for ensuring stability and rebuilding lives in affected regions.

In light of the ongoing housing crisis, the Ukrainian government has taken significant steps to enhance support for families affected by the conflict.
