According to Міністерство інфраструктури: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported changes to the rules for providing household waste management services, prepared by the Ministry of Development. These changes take into account the needs of communities and European standards, which can significantly affect the waste disposal system in Ukraine.

Innovations

Among the innovations are various ways of waste collection, including a container-free system and the possibility of garbage collection on consumer request. In addition, the document defines the requirements for labeling bags and the volume of information that communities and service providers must provide. An important aspect is the regulation of the handling of green waste, such as branches, leaves, and grass, as well as hazardous waste included in household waste.

The changes also unify approaches to determining consumption norms and the cost of services. It is important to note that in the case of temporary absence of a person for more than 30 days, they have the right not to pay for the service by applying with a corresponding request to the provider. These innovations can significantly change the process of household waste management in Ukraine.
