Usyk gifted Joshua an embroidered shirt with a Cossack: what the Ukrainian champion said
According to glavcom.ua: Oleksandr Usyk, the world boxing champion, decided to make an interesting gift to his former opponent Anthony Joshua. He gifted him an embroidered shirt featuring a Cossack. Usyk reminded Joshua about the Ukrainian Cossacks who defended what was then a nonexistent Ukraine.
Oleksandr Usyk: Do you remember my red embroidered shirt? These are Ukrainian warriors - Cossacks.
Anthony Joshua: Do you have one like that?
Oleksandr Usyk: Yes, similar. Because in the 17th century, Ukrainian Cossacks protected territories that did not yet belong to Ukraine.
Anthony Joshua: Good size.
Usyk, who helped prepare his British colleague for the fight, decided to relinquish his champion title, but already has plans for the future - he wants to fight Deontay Wilder, one of the strongest opponents in recent decades. Thus, Usyk's career in the heavyweight division will continue, and fans of this sport can expect new exciting matches.
