In Ivano-Frankivsk, there have already been four attacks on new public transport in just a few days. Law enforcement agencies have opened proceedings and are searching for those involved. This is reported by KP «Electroavtotrans».

According to the municipal enterprise, new trolleybuses with autonomous drive were damaged three times last week. In all cases, the windows of vehicles from one manufacturer, which has recently expanded the city fleet, were damaged.

On May 18, a similar incident occurred with a bus. The municipal enterprise suggests that unknown individuals may be using pneumatic weapons. After each case, police were called to the scene and statements were filed.

Law enforcement agencies have opened proceedings and are currently identifying individuals involved in the damage to the vehicles.

In «Electroavtotrans», it is emphasized that new trolleybuses with autonomous drive are of strategic importance for the city. Such transport can operate even in areas without contact networks and allows for savings on operation costs.

«New trolleybuses with autonomous drive are a strategic step in the development of urban transport in Ivano-Frankivsk. They can operate even where there is no contact network, reduce operating costs, and increase passenger comfort,» said the enterprise.

Municipal workers urged residents to report any suspicious individuals or actions that may threaten the safety of public transport.

In recent years, Ivano-Frankivsk has been actively renewing its municipal transport fleet by purchasing modern trolleybuses with autonomous drives and new buses. Some routes already operate without full dependence on the contact network.

Such incidents of damage to vehicles create additional costs for the city budget and may affect the stability of public transport operations for the residents of the city.

It is worth noting that «Electroavtotrans» in Ivano-Frankivsk is facing a severe shortage of drivers, which threatens to reduce public transport routes.
