Two new free bus routes launched in Odesa
Odesa City Council has launched two new social bus routes that have expanded the network of free transport in the city. This was reported by the Odesa City Council.
The new lines connect remote areas with the central streets of Odesa. Each route has two municipal buses running at one-hour intervals. The transport will serve passengers from 06:30 to 20:00, focusing on morning and evening peak hours.
Free buses in Odesa operate on new routes
The city authorities have identified two directions for social transport:
-
Sviatoslava Richter Street – Dihtiarna Street
-
Tyraspil Highway (Dva Stovpy) – Dihtiarna Street
Both routes connect peripheral areas of the city with Dihtiarna Street, providing residents of remote areas with access to transport hubs.
Odesa social routes: the line to the railway station continues to operate
Alongside the new routes, the social line "Railway Station – 28th Brigade Street" continues to function. This route involves four municipal buses operating at 30-minute intervals, ensuring a higher frequency of services compared to the new routes.
The expansion of the free transport network helps residents of Odesa save on commuting during challenging economic circumstances and supports the mobility of the population during peak passenger traffic hours.
Previously, we reported that "Ukrzaliznytsia" appointed an additional train to Odesa.
