Two Large-Scale Water Supply Networks Underway in Odesa Region to Serve Over 68,000 Residents

Water Infrastructure Projects Progressing in Odesa Region

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Construction is currently underway on two major water distribution systems in Odesa region, designed to provide reliable access to clean water for more than 68,000 people across 29 communities within seven territorial hromadas. These initiatives involve laying over 600 kilometers of main and branch pipelines, significantly enhancing the availability of quality drinking water for local residents.

Project Details

The first initiative targets 11 settlements with a combined population of roughly 19,800. It includes the installation of:

• 84.06 km of main water pipelines
• 180.29 km of distribution network

This system is designed to deliver up to 50,000 cubic meters of water daily. Construction activities focus on:

• The first lift pumping station
• Main water pipeline
• 21st water chamber
• Wells at two pumping stations
• Settling basin channel
• Water intake facility

On-site preparations also include establishing a temporary production base, access roads, an embankment dam, a gravel foundation, and concrete groundwork.

The second project aims to supply water to 18 settlements, housing over 48,600 individuals. It involves laying:

• 133.94 km of main pipeline
• 204.4 km of distribution pipelines

Its capacity is planned at 16,580 cubic meters per day. Key construction tasks include:

• Building the fourth lift pumping station
• Constructing a clean water reservoir

Ongoing work covers excavation, gravel base installation, concrete preparation, waterproofing, foundation reinforcement, and foundation concreting for a tower crane.
