In Ukraine, salaries for a separate category of budget employees will be raised to 35,000 UAH

In Ukraine, they plan to significantly increase salaries for certain categories of budget employees starting in 2026. This primarily concerns primary care doctors working in frontline areas. It is expected that their salaries will rise to 35,000 UAH. This is reported by Obozrevatel.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported on the government's plans. According to her, the downward coefficient for salaries in medical institutions located near the front line has been canceled. The government emphasizes that frontline regions remain a priority in state policy.

Salary increases for doctors: who will receive up to 35,000 UAH

The changes pertain to primary care doctors working in frontline communities. After the cancellation of the downward coefficient, they will be able to expect significantly higher payments. The Cabinet of Ministers notes that this should help retain personnel and support the healthcare system in challenging conditions.

The government has also allocated additional funding for such territories:

• 10.6 billion UAH in subsidies for frontline communities;
• 30.9 billion UAH in compensation for income losses related to the war.

Teacher bonuses in 2026: what amounts have been budgeted

Certain changes also apply to educators. According to Svyrydenko, about 25,000 teachers will receive additional payments of 4,000 UAH. At the same time, starting from January 1, the salaries of all teachers in Ukraine have already been increased by 30%, raising the basic bonus to 2,000 UAH.

In 2026, teachers in general secondary education institutions will also retain allowances for working in unfavorable conditions. For educators who do not work in frontline areas, the amount of such an allowance will be 2,000 UAH.
