On June 30, scheduled power outages may be reintroduced in several regions of Ukraine due to increased load on the energy system caused by hot weather. Energy workers have already warned residents of certain areas about possible restrictions during peak consumption hours. This is reported by Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo.

Which regions may experience power outages

According to information from 'Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo,' scheduled power outages for the population in the region may be implemented from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on June 30 in the amount of one queue.

In addition, during the same period, it is predicted that schedules for power restrictions for industrial enterprises and businesses in the Zaporizhia region will be implemented at full capacity - five queues.

Possible implementation of scheduled outages has also been reported for:

  • Ivano-Frankivsk region;

  • Cherkasy region;

  • Mykolaiv region;

  • Khmelnytskyi region.

Final schedules with specific queues and outage times are promised to be published after receiving the corresponding commands from the National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo.'

Why energy workers warn about restrictions

The General Director of Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, explained that electricity consumption in Ukraine has significantly increased in recent days due to high temperatures.

According to him, the additional load is created by the active use of air conditioners and other climate control equipment, so Ukrainians are advised to charge mobile phones, power banks, and other necessary devices in advance.

Schedules may be refined

Energy workers emphasize that information about the implementation of scheduled outages is preliminary.

If the situation in the energy system changes, the time, duration, or volume of restrictions may be adjusted. Residents of the regions are advised to follow messages from their local electricity supply companies and the National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo.'
