In Ukraine, many licenses were revoked for new carriers: which routes have been opened
88 new licensees have appeared in the Ukrainian transportation market. Ukrtransbezpeka reports another replenishment among carriers who have obtained permits for domestic and international routes from November 17 to 21.
New Licensees Among Carriers
The three regions that remain the most active are Kyiv, which received 14 licenses, Volyn - 12, and Lviv region - 11. New carriers are opening routes both within the country and abroad.
The main routes for which new permits have been issued are:
-
international freight transportation (excluding hazardous goods) - 44 licenses
-
domestic passenger transport by ordered passenger cars - 39 licenses
-
passenger transport by taxi - 25 licenses.
In total, local budgets received UAH 266,464 in revenue. During the week, the validity of two licenses was terminated at the initiative of the carriers operating in the international freight sector.
Significance of New Licenses for the Market
Ukrtransbezpeka emphasizes that each issued license is not only a new business but also additional jobs, taxes, and an increase in safety standards. The regulator urges companies to strictly comply with transportation legislation, as it directly affects the quality of services and the trust of passengers.
In the service, it is also noted that the expansion of the number of licensed carriers enhances competition and stimulates fleet renewal. The current list of issued permits and full statistics are available on the Ukrtransbezpeka website.
Previously, we wrote that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the market of transport services, which will contribute to the country's Euro-integration.
