A new registry for drivers will be launched in Ukraine: how vehicle certification will change
Ukraine is preparing a new registry for drivers
The press service of the State Service for Transport Safety of Ukraine reported plans to create a new electronic platform aimed at automating vehicle certification procedures and ensuring transparency of interaction among participants.
Valeriy Kulyk-Kulychenko, Deputy Head of the State Service for Transport Safety, noted: 'The creation of the registry of vehicle certification is part of a large transformation of transportation in Ukraine and a logical step in the digital ecosystem of the transport sector.'
The system should be convenient for business and understandable to the state. Then it will operate effectively.
Among the functions already implemented on the new platform:
- Updated role model of the system for clear definition of access rights;
- Self-registration of certificate applicants via Electronic Digital Signature;
- Submission of the application and its processing by experts;
- Automatic notification of users about the status of the application.
The development plans for the system include integration with registries, optimization of the interface, connection of certification bodies, and the launch of the first subsystems.
The registry is an important part of the digital transformation of the transport industry in Ukraine and will contribute to improving the vehicle certification system.
