VAKS released the former head of the Medical and Social Expert Commission for 20 million hryvnias: conditions
VAKS replaced detention with bail
The High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) decided to change the preventive measure for the former head of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) of Khmelnytskyi region. Now she will be under departmental bail in the amount of 20 million hryvnias. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom', citing VAKS.
The decision to replace the preventive measure was made after the request of a detective from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Ukrainian law threatens no more than 12 months of detention in cases of serious crimes. At this point, the suspect had already been in custody for 11 months.
- to appear for summons by the investigator, prosecutor, or court;
- not to leave Khmelnytskyi without permission;
- to avoid communication with employees of the Medical and Social Center and patients;
- to notify about any change of residence;
- to surrender passport for traveling abroad;
- to carry an electronic monitoring device.
Compliance with these conditions will be monitored by NABU detectives. It is reminded that the suspect is currently considered innocent until proven guilty in a legal manner.
