The Supreme Court upheld the sentence against former officials for attempting to steal millions

According to САП: This news reports that the Supreme Court upheld the sentence in the case of former officials. According to the decision, former acting director of the State Enterprise 'Pivdendiproshakht' Yu. Sevastyano and his deputy O. Tatarkin were found guilty of attempting to unlawfully appropriate a substantial amount of money. The Supreme Court upheld the court's decision and sentenced Sevastyano to 7.5 years in prison, and Tatarkin to 7 years and 3 months.
It is worth noting that both convicted individuals are prohibited from holding positions related to organizational and administrative functions in enterprises, institutions, and organizations as per the standard sanction. Their property was also confiscated in half.
The ruling of the Supreme Court is final and cannot be appealed.
