According to hvylya.net: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that only just over a third of the Sustainable Development Goals of the '2030 Agenda' show any progress. Among the main obstacles, he highlighted conflicts, including the war in Ukraine, as well as insufficient funding and climate change.

Guterres noted: 'Only 35% of the tasks under the Sustainable Development Goals are being advanced properly. 18% are going backwards and nearly half are being implemented too slowly.' He mentioned that key obstacles to achieving global goals include escalating conflicts, climate change, inequality, and insufficient funding.

'We need an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and humanitarian access – as the first step towards a two-state solution. We need to maintain a truce between Israel and Iran and a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine based on the UN Charter, international law, and the resolutions of the Organization.'

Guterres directly linked the achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals to the necessity of establishing a just peace in Ukraine in accordance with international law. The UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 include 17 global tasks aimed at overcoming poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all.

The information provided by the UN Secretary-General emphasizes insufficient progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The main obstacles to meeting these goals are conflicts, insufficient funding, climate change, and inequality. In particular, attention was drawn to the importance of peace in Ukraine as a prerequisite for global success in achieving the stated goals.
