Important victories and a draw
Let's remind that to qualify for the World Cup, Ukraine needs to overcome two more opponents.
In the playoff semi-final on March 26, 2026, our team will meet the national team of Sweden. If victorious, the Ukrainians will face the winner of the pair Poland - Albania in the final match.
The Ukrainian national football team has completed the first stage of the European qualifiers for the World Championship, which will take place next year in three countries of North America.
The last and decisive match was against Iceland, which the Ukrainians lost 3:5 in the first match, but due to several failures (including against Azerbaijan), these two teams entered with the same number of points. However, the advantage was on the side of the opponents of the 'blue-yellows', so only a victory in the match in Warsaw was necessary.
In the second half, Ukraine scored two goals and continues the struggle for a spot at the World Cup.
