New season of the Basketball Higher League: which teams will compete for the title

In the new season of the men's Higher League in basketball, 8 teams will participate. The FBU national team announced that 'Sambir', 'Khmelnytskyi', 'Vinnytsia', 'DiDiBao' (Kamianets-Podilskyi) and 'BIPA-Odessa' will remain in the lineup.Among the changes is the entry of the second Mykolaiv team 'Niko-Basket-2' into the Higher League instead of 'Niko-Basket' and the addition of the teams BC 'ChODYuSSh-CHEBASKET' from Chernivtsi and 'Freedom UA' from Kyiv to the participants of the Higher League.The new season starts on October 25, the competitions will take place in a format of four rounds with trips, and the playoffs will unite the four best teams of the regular championship. All matches will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.In the pre-qualification for the 2027 World Championship, the Ukrainian men's national team defeated the Slovakian national team twice. In the pre-qualification round for the 2027 World Cup, our players lost to the Swiss national team 64:66.
