Drivers will be fined 25,500 hryvnias: for what they are preparing punishment
Ukraine is preparing to strengthen responsibility for listening to Russian music in vehicles. According to the draft law, if the sound penetrates beyond the transport vehicle, this may be considered a violation of the legislation.
Legislators intend to punish drivers who consider their vehicles a private space but amplify sound far beyond the car
One of the key factors is the spread of sound onto the street through open windows or loud audio systems. Fines for violations can range from 5,100 to 25,500 hryvnias, which constitutes a serious financial burden for lawbreakers. An extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law banning the public performance of music and videos from Russia in public places. This ban applies to parks, restaurants, public transport, and streets.
Citizens have the right to report violations of these restrictions to the police and demand an appropriate response
The police are obliged to respond to all citizens' appeals and hold violators accountable. The introduction of new restrictions on listening to Russian music in vehicles and the ban on public performance of content from Russia is Ukraine's response to the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation and is aimed at protecting national interests.
