According to glavcom.ua: The strike by the Russian terrorist army led to a blackout at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Minister of Energy German Halushchenko reported that the occupiers' strike on the power transmission line provoked a blackout at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This line connects the temporarily occupied ZNPP with the energy system of Ukraine, which is necessary for ensuring radiation safety.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the ZNPP has already experienced a complete blackout eight times and has repeatedly been on the brink of a blackout. This is yet another act of nuclear terror by the Russians!”

During the war, India transmitted information about security at the ZNPP between Russia and Ukraine. It is noteworthy that the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been in a shutdown state for a long time due to lack of necessary electricity supply and problems with water supply for cooling. Even the IAEA agreed that the launch of power units at the ZNPP is currently impossible while the facility is under threat due to the conflict situation.

During the war, a serious accident occurred at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant due to the strike by the Russian terrorist army, which led to the blackout. It is extremely important to ensure radiation safety and quickly resolve the electricity supply issues to avoid dangers to people and the environment.
