Supporting Ukrainian Troops Through Art: Vsevolod Sevastyanov’s Festive Run with GPS Drawings and Fundraising
The #CreativeRunDvizh Initiative
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Vsevolod Sevastyanov, the creator behind the #CreativeRunDvizh project, dedicated his celebratory run to backing Ukrainian soldiers by designing a themed route using GPS technology. Alongside this creative effort, he launched a fundraising campaign to provide electronic warfare equipment for the defenders of Ochakiv. Since its inception in 2019, #CreativeRunDvizh has seen Sevastyanov craft around a hundred unique GPS drawings, blending artistic expression with charitable causes.
Artistic GPS Routes with a Purpose
Among the diverse GPS artworks he has produced are images such as:
- Flamingo
- Tryzub (the Ukrainian trident emblem)
- Bus
- Prosthetic leg
In 2025, Sevastyanov became the first runner to complete a route shaped like a prosthetic leg at Kyiv’s National Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNG). Earlier that year, he also mapped out a trident-shaped path during a run in Ochakiv. These routes serve as powerful symbols connecting social awareness and philanthropy through artistic running challenges.
Sevastyanov’s collection of GPS drawings holds the Ukrainian record for the largest number of running GPS artworks. Residing in frontline Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, he continues to advance his project while drawing public attention to military support and related issues. He actively shares his journey on social media, particularly via his Facebook page under the hashtag #RunningUkrainian.
The #CreativeRunDvizh project not only highlights a creative way to contribute to charity but also emphasizes the crucial need to support Ukrainian forces during these challenging times.
Engaging the community through such initiatives encourages greater participation in philanthropy and raises awareness about the ongoing needs of the military. Sevastyanov’s imaginative approach breathes new life into social causes, ensuring vital topics remain in the spotlight amidst the current conflict.
In addition to Sevastyanov's creative efforts, community-driven events like the recent marathon in Khmelnytskyi have also made a significant impact, raising nearly 1.5 million UAH for special operations forces. These initiatives highlight the growing solidarity and support for Ukrainian troops, showcasing how artistic and athletic endeavors can unite people for a common cause.
