Russian Forces: Overall Losses

According to Кабмін: Between February 24, 2022, and August 31, 2026, the Ukrainian military has recorded that Moscow's personnel losses amount to roughly 1,488,200, with 1,600 more killed in the last day alone. These figures are from the Ukrainian military's regular accounting of Russian losses, and they make clear just how massive the fighting has been and what it has cost the opposing army.

Military Hardware Losses

Russia's losses in equipment are also enormous, according to the same data:

  • 12,316 tanks
  • 25,255 armored fighting vehicles
  • 48,883 artillery systems
  • 2,079 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
  • 1,597 air-defense systems
  • 440 aircraft
  • 354 helicopters
  • 2,442 ground robotic systems
  • 490,402 operational-tactical UAVs
  • 5,060 cruise missiles
  • 35 ships and boats
  • 2 submarines
  • 141,920 vehicles and fuel tankers
  • 4,621 units of special equipment

These numbers also underline the conflict's duration and intensity and show how much Russian military power has been consumed. The loss of so much equipment and so many troops could undermine Moscow's capacity for offensive action and also affect troop morale, both of which matter as the front evolves. The figures are still being refined, but already they confirm that the Russian side has suffered heavy battlefield losses. Strike the occupier! Together we will win!
