Wizz Air's New Polish Flight Routes

According to ХВИЛЯ: Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air has announced it will launch three new direct routes from Poland to Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece starting in the spring-summer season of 2026. Ticket sales for these flights are already available on the airline's official website and mobile app.

Route Details and Schedules

The expansion includes a three-times-weekly service from Warsaw (Modlin) to Varna, Bulgaria, and a four-times-weekly service from Warsaw (Modlin) to Rimini, Italy. Additionally, a three-times-weekly route will connect Krakow with Rhodes, Greece. One-way fares for these flights start from 109 Polish zloty.

Warsaw Modlin Airport has become a strategic hub for Wizz Air following the opening of a new base there in December 2025. The new routes will be operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft, which consume 20% less fuel and generate half the noise of previous models. This expansion is part of Wizz Air's significant presence in Poland, where it currently operates 234 routes to 32 countries and has carried nearly 130 million passengers since beginning operations there.

"We are proud to continue investing in Poland by adding new direct and affordable routes to our network,"

Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Wizz Air Representative

The launch of these services highlights the growing demand for air travel in Central and Eastern Europe and reflects Wizz Air's strategic commitment to the Polish market. These new connections are likely to boost tourist traffic to these popular destinations, benefiting the economies of both Poland and the destination countries. With Wizz Air's plans for further growth, competition among airlines in this segment is expected to intensify, which typically leads to more choices and competitive pricing for travelers.
