WSJ: The number of occupiers in Sumy region is three times greater than Ukrainian forces
According to glavcom.ua: Russian troops continue their aggressive expansion in the Sumy region, concentrating significant forces near the regional center. According to The Wall Street Journal, 50 thousand Russian soldiers exceed the number of Ukrainian troops in this region by three times.
Ukrainian forces, despite the significant numerical advantage of the enemy, remain strong and defend the territory. NATO emphasizes the heavy losses of Russian forces and the impossibility of encircling the entire region. At the same time, holding the Sumy region costs many human casualties, but the territory is not mined, which facilitates the recovery of peaceful life after operations.
«Ukraine has sent elite units to help stabilize the situation, and this has helped reclaim part of the territory», - writes WSJ.
The threat of Russian aggression in Sumy remains serious, however, Ukraine's law enforcement agencies continue active actions to protect the region and do not allow the enemy to seize the territory.
