YouTube channels in China, Russia and other countries deleted: reason named
Google has decided to take a decisive stand against state propaganda by removing nearly 11 thousand YouTube channels and other accounts. This action is aimed at combating mass campaigns from China, Russia, and other countries that occurred in the second quarter. As a result of these actions, the distribution of content aimed at supporting the Chinese regime and criticizing democratic countries has been halted.
It is also worth noting the removal of content related to the Russian state media channel RT. This could significantly impact the spread of misinformation and manipulation online, especially during the upcoming elections. The removal of YouTube channels and other accounts supports Google's overall efforts to combat propaganda and fake news on the internet.
