From 2026, salaries of social workers will increase by 2.5 times: who will earn more

Increase in the salaries of social workers in Ukraine

According to Міністерство соц. політики: Starting from January 1, 2026, a significant increase in the salaries of social workers in Ukraine is planned at 150%. This decision was initiated by the Ministry of Social Policy and aims to improve working conditions in this important field.

New changes in salary levels

According to the new changes, the coefficient for determining the salary levels will be 2.5. Thus:

• The salary of a social manager currently at the 15th tariff grade will increase from 8,243 hryvnias to 20,607 hryvnias.
• The salary of a social work specialist at the 12th tariff grade will rise from 6,773 hryvnias to 16,932 hryvnias.

The significant increase in salaries for social workers indicates the recognition of their importance in ensuring social protection for the population.
