Bonus Payments for Infrastructure Repair Crews

According to Главком: Ukrainian workers on repair and restoration crews can receive a 20,000 hryvnia bonus for their work rebuilding critical infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. The government has allocated 281.3 million hryvnia for these February payments, with similar funding planned for March. Over 14,000 workers are potentially eligible for this financial support. This initiative is part of broader efforts to sustain essential services and support those on the front lines of reconstruction.

How to Apply for the Payment

Companies must submit their lists of eligible employees through the Diia portal by April 15. A unified list will contain two parts: a primary list for March and a supplementary list for companies that missed earlier submissions or were not previously included. Companies on the supplementary list face no cap on the number of workers they can register.

To apply, company managers or authorized persons must log into the Diia portal, select the relevant service, and submit an application by the deadline. If a company is pre-listed by relevant ministries, the form will open automatically. The application requires employee details:

  • Full name
  • Taxpayer registration number
  • Job title
  • Bank account number
  • Phone number

and must be signed with a qualified electronic signature.

Once lists are sent to the bank, workers will receive a push notification in the Diia app, signaling that funds will be deposited shortly, according to the portal's press service.

Separate Support Program for Vulnerable Groups

In a separate measure, a targeted support program providing a one-time payment of 1,500 hryvnia launched on April 1 for pensioners and vulnerable groups. Recipients include age pensioners, people with disabilities, low-income families, basic social assistance recipients, internally displaced persons, large families, and single mothers. If a person qualifies under multiple categories, they will receive the payment only once. Funds will be deposited once during April to bank accounts or via Ukrposhta, with no need for additional applications.

These payments reflect the government's efforts to support both the workers restoring vital infrastructure and vulnerable populations amidst ongoing challenges. Utilizing digital platforms like Diia streamlines the aid distribution process, aiming to improve socio-economic conditions during a difficult period.

As the application deadline approaches, it's crucial for eligible workers to be aware of the recent updates regarding the closure of applications for the 20,000 hryvnia bonus. Understanding the eligibility criteria and application process can help ensure that those who contributed to infrastructure repairs do not miss out on this financial support.
