A new bus route has been opened from the center of Lviv to Dublyany

Starting from Monday, March 9, a new bus route No. 80 will operate in Lviv, which will connect the central part of the city with Dublyany. The relevant decision was made by the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council on March 6. This is reported by the Lviv Portal.

The route will be temporarily serviced by the private carrier «Epitrans». The city council clarified that a competition will be held soon to determine the permanent transportation operator.

New bus route No. 80 in Lviv

Route No. 80 will connect Dublyany and the center of Lviv. It will serve as an alternative to the suburban bus No. 180a, which ceased operations in March after the Lviv Regional Military Administration terminated the contract with the carrier.

Main points of the route:

• Dublyany, Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street

• Ivan Franko, Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky, and Taras Shevchenko Streets

• Malekhiv, Kyivska Street

• Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street in Lviv

• Vyacheslav Lypynsky Street

• Vyacheslav Chornovol Avenue

• Rizni Square

The bus will then proceed in the reverse direction back to Dublyany along the same route.

Bus No. 80 Lviv – Dublyany: how the route will operate

Initially, medium-class buses will operate on the route. On weekdays, transportation will be provided by two vehicles, while on weekends, one bus will be on the line.

The city council notes that the launch of the route is expected to improve transport connections between Lviv and Dublyany, especially after the cessation of the suburban flight No. 180a.

The decision to create route No. 80 along with another new bus direction was made by the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council at the end of February 2026.

It’s worth noting that private carriers in Lviv have warned about the possible suspension of part of the bus routes. The reason cited is the sudden rise in fuel prices and the loss-making nature of transportation at the current fare.
