According to Главком: On April 9, Russian forces launched one missile strike, 41 airstrikes, and dropped 125 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 6,483 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,566 artillery and mortar attacks on Ukrainian towns and military positions. A total of 134 combat engagements occurred across the front, with the Pokrovsk sector remaining the most active and intense.
By 10:00 PM on April 9, 134 separate firefights had been recorded. The invading forces conducted one missile strike using a single missile, executed 41 airstrikes, and released 125 guided aerial bombs. To target Ukrainian forces, they utilized 6,483 kamikaze drones and shelled populated areas and defensive lines 2,566 times.
Enemy Activity Across Various Fronts
In the Pokrovsk sector, 76 occupiers were killed and 33 wounded over the course of the day. Combat operations in this area resulted in the destruction of:
- a ground-based robotic complex;
- one personnel shelter;
- four communication antennas;
- seven automotive and 11 special equipment units;
- one damaged tank;
- four artillery systems;
- seven automotive transport units;
- three motorcycles;
- six unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control points;
- 37 infantry shelters.
Additionally, 118 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed or suppressed in this sector.
On the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, the enemy conducted four airstrikes using six guided aerial bombs and carried out 62 shelling attacks, two of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanske direction, enemy forces attacked Ukrainian unit positions four times near Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipky, and Starytsia. In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked six times, including near Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and in the direction of Lyman.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy assaults toward Lyman, Dibrova, Novomykhailivka, and Tverdokhlibove. On the Sloviansk direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka. On the Kramatorsk direction, occupiers attacked once toward Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantsynivka sector, 22 enemy attacks were recorded in the areas of Stepanivka, Pleshiivka, Rusyn Yar, Ivanopillia, and toward Illinivka, Sofiiivka, Kostiantsynivka, and Novopavlivka. On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 28 assaults in the areas of Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Molodetske, Myrne, Kotlyne, and Novopidhorodne. On the Oleksandrivsk direction, occupiers attacked six times in the areas of Oleksandragrad, Vorone, Zlahoda, and toward Andriivka-Kleven. On the Huliaipole direction, 17 enemy attacks were recorded in the areas of Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Hirke, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Dobropillia.
This day marked the 1,506th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The conflict, now in its fourth year, continues to be defined by high-intensity attritional warfare along a largely static front line.
