The statement of the leader of the 'LPR' about the capture of Luhansk was ridiculed even by Russian propagandists
According to glavcom.ua: The self-proclaimed leader of the Luhansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, announced full Russian control over the Luhansk region. In a program on Russian 'Channel One', he stated that the territory of the 'Luhansk People's Republic' is completely liberated, disseminating this information through the publication 'Glavkom'.
However, Pasechnik's statement raised doubts, even among pro-Russian military bloggers. Many of them rejected this statement, emphasizing that some cities in the Luhansk region are still under Ukrainian control. There has been no official confirmation of this information from either the Kremlin or Ukraine. According to Deepstate, Pasechnik's statement does not correspond to reality.
Russian journalist Ivan Filippov points to criticism of the massive losses of the Russian army and emphasizes the inhumane tactics of Russia on the front. Data from the UK Ministry of Defence for 2025 indicates the highest number of killed and wounded Russian soldiers in Ukraine. Experts note that Russia's strategy involves an unjustified exchange of lives for territory and the use of soldiers under pressure in military operations.
