According to hvylya.net: Ukrainian law enforcement is taking decisive measures to combat the illegal use of military uniforms and equipment. The legislation clearly defines who is allowed to wear military clothing - from servicemen to veterans.
Serious fines are imposed for violating these rules, which can reach several thousand hryvnias, as well as confiscation of the uniform. Police have the right to check citizens and draw up protocols in case of violations. The prohibitive norms were introduced to avoid unauthorized use of military symbols.
