According to Міністерство Здоров'я: Halyna Bobrovska, a doctor who dedicated over 35 years to medicine, died as a result of a Russian airstrike when an aerial bomb was dropped on a residential building. This tragedy occurred just days before the occupation of Borodianka, a settlement in the Kyiv region, in March 2022. Bobrovska was born on July 18, 1962, in the city of Bohuslav and graduated from the O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University in Kyiv. She worked as a family doctor at the central district hospital in Borodianka, where she was devoted to her calling.
Occupation of Borodianka
The occupation of Borodianka by Russian troops began on March 5, 2022, and lasted until April 1, 2022. This period was accompanied by numerous airstrikes and shelling that resulted in significant destruction:
- 8 apartment buildings were destroyed;
- hundreds of private houses were destroyed;
- at least 171 people were killed.
The bodies of the deceased were found under the rubble in mid-April 2022, after the de-occupation of Kyiv region.
