According to glavcom.ua: Specialists from 'Ukrenergo' restored the operation of the high-voltage line to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This line supplies electricity to the power plant, which is temporarily under occupation. The restoration of the line will allow the plant to receive energy from the controlled territory.

After several hours of operation on diesel generators, the ZNPP is again being powered. 'Ukrenergo' explained that the work took longer due to the security threat to personnel.

We remind you that on July 4, an emergency shutdown occurred due to shelling of the power supply line. The ZNPP had to switch to backup power from diesel generators, but this option, which cannot be used indefinitely, does not ensure the full functioning of all safety systems.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Haluschenko, believes that the shutdown of the power plant and the shelling is an act of nuclear terrorism by Russia.

IAEA emphasized that launching power units at the Zaporizhzhia NPP is impossible

According to agreements with the occupiers and Rostekhnadzor, launching the power units at the Zaporizhzhia NPP is considered impossible. In the conditions of war, which continues on the territory of the site, the launch of the units is only possible after the end of the conflict that threatens nuclear safety. According to the IAEA agreement, to fully restore the operation of the NPP, water from the Dnipro River must be delivered.

Ukrainian specialists restored the power line to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This will allow the plant to receive energy from the controlled territory. However, the IAEA emphasizes that while the war continues, there is a threat to nuclear safety, so launching the power units is currently impossible.
