The launch of e-Excise is postponed: businesses received 10 months for testing

Ukraine is preparing for the launch of the electronic e-Excise system on November 1, 2026. The parliament decided to extend the testing period to allow businesses to familiarize themselves with the innovation.

During the testing phase, companies will have the opportunity to prepare their programs and staff for working with electronic labels. It is expected that e-Excise will help combat shadow schemes and increase tax revenues.

“This is a priority anti-corruption tool that we have been working on for almost three years. No country in the world has created such systems yet.”

The testing of e-Excise will continue until October 12, 2026, and the system will become mandatory from November 1, 2026, for participants in the alcohol and tobacco markets. Similar systems operate successfully in the European Union countries, helping to reduce the illegal circulation of tobacco products.

Businesses can join the system testing at the website https://xtrace.gov.ua/. The authors of the project express their gratitude to the parliamentarians and the tax committee for supporting the initiative.

Ukraine is implementing the electronic e-Excise system, which is expected to help combat corruption and increase tax revenues. Businesses are given the opportunity to prepare for this innovation and work with the system during the testing period until its full implementation.
