Salary of 300 thousand and military exemption: scandalous Chernyshev hired guards and staff at 'Naftogaz'
According to hvylya.net: The National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating a new episode regarding former Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshev. According to 'Hvylya', law enforcement agencies reported that Oleksiy Chernyshev, managing the NJSC 'Naftogaz of Ukraine', appointed guards and domestic staff with high salaries and protection from mobilization.
The relevant positions provided for a salary of at least 300 thousand hryvnias per month and reservation from mobilization.
The court's decision also mentions searches at Chernyshev's residence in June. However, due to a law that undermined the independence of anti-corruption bodies, the investigation into this episode was suspended by NABU.
The case and preventive measures
Chernyshev became the sixth suspect in the case of a corruption deal in the Ministry of Regional Development. All suspects, including Chernyshev, received preventive measures. Oleksiy Chernyshev was assigned bail of 120 million hryvnias, which he already paid on July 2.
The High Anti-Corruption Court decided on June 27 to assign bail measures to Oleksiy Chernyshev in the amount of 120 million UAH. And already on July 2, Chernyshev was released on bail.
Chernyshev's case, searches, and arrests of NABU detectives are related to the deprivation of the independence of anti-corruption bodies. Experts from the European Commission have called this case an 'institutional trigger' for pressure on NABU and SAP.
