Failure in the vehicle registry on October 1: why thousands of Ukrainians cannot register their vehicles

Ukrainians planning to register or re-register their vehicles on October 1, 2025, are facing issues due to technical problems with the operations of the Unified State Register of Vehicles, as reported by the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The planned update of the registry has caused delays, and the speed of application processing has significantly decreased across all regions. IT specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have already started addressing these technical issues and restoring stable system operations.

The recommendation from the service center is to reschedule visits for another day to avoid queues. Drivers are also warned about mandatory psychological tests for drivers aged 65 and older, the dangers of using fog lights in clear weather, and are provided with tips for the economical use of fuel and resolving difficult road situations.
