Ukraine U-19 Roster for the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship

According to Главком: Head coach Dmytro Mykhailenko has finalized the list of players who will represent Ukraine at the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. Four players were omitted from the final squad:

  • Denys Marchenko (Karpaty)
  • Mykhailo Reshetnikov (Shakhtar)
  • Artur Ukhan (Tatran, Slovakia)
  • Oleksandr Feshchenko (Obolon)

Ukraine has been placed in Group B, where they will face Croatia, Italy, and Serbia. Their opening match is scheduled for June 29 at 22:00 Kyiv time against Croatia.

Team Roster and Updates

The squad prepared for the tournament with a training camp in Poland, which initially included 23 players. Notably, Vitaliy Hlyuta, who plays for Chicago (USA), has been included in the final roster. The goalkeepers selected for the European Championship are:

Additionally, Dmytro Mykhailenko is set to become the new head coach of Ukraine’s U-21 team, as Unai Melgosa will leave his position as U-21 head coach. Volodymyr Yezerskyi, who works in Andrea Maldera’s coaching staff, will also remain part of the new structure. In a statement, Mykhailo Spivakovskyi emphasized:

“From what I know, the Spanish specialist’s contract will not be renewed. The new head coach, and this logic was quite clear, should be Dmytro Mykhailenko.”

Ukraine’s youth team is now gearing up for a crucial tournament, where strong performances are essential to secure a spot at the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup-only the top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs. Group A features Denmark, Spain, Wales, and Germany.
