Increase in military funding

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on November 4, during his visit to the Pokrovsk direction, ordered to raise funding for military corps engaged in battles in crucial sections of the front. This was reported by the head of state in an evening video address after the 1350th day of the war.

During meetings with the commanders of the units currently defending the cities of Pokrovsk, Myrnograd, and Dobropolye in Donetsk region, such units as the First Corps of the National Guard 'Azov', the 4th Brigade of Operational Assignment of the NGU 'Rubizh', the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces, the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade, and the 414th Separate Brigade of Strike Unmanned Aerial Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 'Madyar Birds' were present. All commanders of the Drone Forces also participated in these meetings.

'Many details, but the main thing: there should be more drones – all types of drones – and independence in the production of drones, our own independence, and reliable partners of Ukraine,' emphasized Zelensky.

The president noted the effectiveness of direct funding for brigades, which allows them to independently purchase and produce the necessary equipment. He also promised to simplify procedures for those who help the army with their skills, including in the production of munitions and explosives.

Support for the military and Ukraine's movement toward the EU

Zelensky emphasized that the Russian army was forced to retreat in terms of capturing Ukrainian cities in Donetsk region, which indicates the effectiveness of the Ukrainian forces. He also noted the receipt of the European Commission report on Ukraine's progress in the path toward EU membership amid the war.

'Ukraine is ready to open clusters, a European decision is needed regarding this,' summed up the president, thanking everyone who supports the country.
