According to Главком: On May 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting focused on the security situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The session addressed several critical issues, including:

  • protection of critical infrastructure;
  • road repairs;
  • evacuation procedures;
  • air defense systems;
  • counter-sabotage operations.

The president also visited the 67th and 31st separate mechanized brigades operating in the area.

Dnipropetrovsk Governor Oleksandr Ganzha reported on measures to strengthen critical infrastructure protection, response to attack aftermaths, enhancement of electronic warfare capabilities, and road repair efforts. Air Command 'East' Commander Serhiy Ryabko outlined the region's air defense capabilities, while 'East' Joint Forces Commander Viktor Nikoliuk briefed on the operational situation along the defense line. 'South' Joint Forces Commander Mykhailo Sydorenko provided updates on the situation near Stepnohirsk, Orikhiv, and Huliaipole, as well as conditions in the Black Sea area. Acting heads of the SBU Main Directorate Dmytro Nieviedrov and the National Police Main Directorate Oleksandr Myrhorodskyi reported on counter-sabotage and anti-terrorism activities, anti-recruitment efforts, and the crime situation.

The president also visited the command post of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade and positions of the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Lieutenant General Leonid Stupnytskyi, which holds the defense line on the Oleksandrivka axis. Currently, road repairs are ongoing in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with routes being equipped with anti-drone corridors.
