Headquarters Meeting on November 26

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting at the Headquarters on November 26, where key areas of defense and army support were discussed. The main topic of the meeting was air defense, namely the necessity of increasing the production of interceptors and air defense systems. Zelensky emphasized the importance of the independence of Ukrainian production from international markets, stating:

‘Our Ukrainian production is a guarantee of protection; Ukrainians should not depend on whether we can find something on the global market or at the warehouses of partners.’

Moreover, the president instructed to reconsider the allocation of personnel among brigades. This issue is discussed at all levels, as the replenishment of brigades with personnel must be adapted to the needs of the front. Zelensky noted:

‘Replenishment of brigades with people must be reviewed, undoubtedly. This is being discussed in almost every combat brigade.’

Situation at the Front and Social Support

The meeting also reviewed the situation in the Kupiansk, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions. The president thanked the military units for their bravery and results in battles, in particular:

  • 127th Heavy Mechanized Brigade
  • 475th Separate Assault Regiment
  • 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades
  • Other units

In addition, it was announced that payments under the winter support program had begun. Nearly 550 thousand applications were submitted through Ukrposhta, and almost 11 million through Diya. More than 133 thousand applications were received in frontline and border regions.

The Headquarters meeting underscores the importance of adapting defense measures to modern challenges, particularly in the field of air defense, as well as strategic management of military units. The emphasis on the development of Ukrainian weapons production indicates a desire to reduce dependence on external factors, which can have long-term positive consequences for the country's security. Payments for winter support also indicate efforts to provide social support to the population in wartime and while fighting at the front.
