He highlighted that police responsibilities extend far beyond daily duties, encompassing combat missions, civilian evacuations, documenting war crimes, and clearing landmines. This address comes as Ukraine marks another year of resilience against Russian aggression, with law enforcement playing a critical role on both the front lines and home front.

According to the President, officers operate in frontline communities under constant shelling, undertaking combat tasks within military brigades. They assist in managing the aftermath of Russian strikes, investigate thousands of crimes, and counter organized criminal groups, cybercrime, and drug trafficking. “Today it is important to thank our police officers who serve every day for the security of Ukraine. Those who protect people in our cities and communities, and those who, together with the Defense Forces, defend the country on the front line,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

He extended his appreciation to every officer for their service, saying: “I thank each and every one for your service to Ukraine. I am grateful to all Ukrainian police officers who care for the state and our people. Happy National Police Day of Ukraine!”
