Zelenskyy Warns of Major Russian Strike Preparations Expected After July 1
Ukrainian President Issues Alert
According to Главком: During a joint press conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cautioned that intelligence reports confirm Russia is preparing another large-scale attack. He urged Ukrainians to remain extremely vigilant and to heed air raid warnings. Zelenskyy stated:
“We have received troubling intelligence about preparations for another massive Russian strike. This is based on confirmed data.”
Visit to Ireland
On July 1, Zelenskyy arrived in Ireland to take part in the official ceremony marking Ireland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union. During his visit, he also announced that progress on the Drone Deal initiative could be achieved within the next six months. The president remarked:
“Today I ask our people to be especially cautious and to pay attention to air raid alerts. We know Putin has been preparing this massive strike on Ukraine for some time. It is not the first. The threat is real as of tonight.”
Given the current circumstances, Ukrainians are urged to stay alert amid the rising threat from Russia.
Zelenskyy’s address underscores the gravity of the ongoing military situation in Ukraine and the need for the population to be prepared for potential attacks. Continued Russian aggression endangers not only the country’s security but also regional stability, with potential repercussions for international relations and European security. Ukraine’s involvement in global initiatives like the Drone Deal also highlights its efforts to strengthen defensive capabilities amid escalating tensions.
In light of Zelenskyy's urgent warnings, it's crucial to understand the broader context of the escalating conflict. Recent reports indicate that Russia has launched an alarming number of attacks, with nearly 2,000 drones and missiles deployed in just a week. This surge in hostilities further emphasizes the need for vigilance among Ukrainians. For a detailed overview of the scale of these recent assaults, see the extent of Russian military actions.
