According to ХВИЛЯ: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported on December 25 about important diplomatic negotiations that took place on the 1401st day of the full-scale war. During these negotiations, Zelensky had a conversation with representatives of the US president - Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The issues regarding the state of negotiations between Ukraine and the USA, as well as possibilities for further cooperation were discussed.

Zelensky noted that new ideas have emerged that can bring real peace closer.

“There are some of our new ideas on how to bring real peace closer, and this concerns formats, it concerns meetings, certainly the timing” – Volodymyr Zelensky.

He emphasized the importance of genuine security, restoration, and peace for Ukraine, stating that these are priority goals.

Further diplomatic efforts

In addition, Rustem Umerov will continue negotiations with the American team. Zelensky also had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas, and announced further talks with other European leaders. Additionally, the agenda of the negotiations included a report by Pavel Palisa on enhancing capabilities at the front, which indicates an active approach of the Ukrainian side to strengthen the country's defense capability.

These negotiations are taking place against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and underline Kyiv's desire to activate diplomatic efforts on the international stage.
